At Harvest Hub and Project Short Street, we believe in the power of community—and thanks to your incredible support during the Stand with Appalachia fundraiser, we’ve seen that power in action. Whether you placed a bid in our exclusive auction for the Stevie Wonder concert tickets, spread the word about the campaign, or made a direct donation, your generosity is already making an impact.
Making a Difference Together
Natural disasters can devastate not only homes and businesses but also the spirit of a community. Thanks to your support, we can now step in and help provide essential relief to families in Western North Carolina. With the funds raised, we’ll be delivering:
Hot meals to displaced families
Temporary shelter for those in need
Emergency supplies, including blankets, hygiene products, and clothing
Rebuilding assistance to restore homes and businesses
A Concert and a Cause
Our auction wasn’t just a chance to enjoy an unforgettable night with Stevie Wonder—it was a chance to stand with a community in need. Every dollar raised through the auction brings us closer to helping families rebuild their lives after the recent disasters.

The Taste of Short Street: Battle of the Wings
As part of our fundraising efforts, we hosted the Taste of Short Street – Battle of the Wings, bringing together some of the most talented culinary entrepreneurs from the region. Chefs put their best recipes to the test, and the community came out in full force to taste and vote for their favorite wings.
We are excited to announce that Chef Josh Lemon from the Southern Wok food truck took home the coveted title of “The Wing is the Thing Champion”! Congratulations to Chef Lemon on his well-deserved win, and thank you to all the chefs who participated and made the event a success.
The funds raised through Taste of Short Street will directly support our disaster relief efforts in Western North Carolina, providing essential resources to families affected by recent natural disasters. Every wing sold helped us get closer to making a meaningful impact.
Special thanks to our neighbors and community partners, the Brewers Kettle Kernersville, for hosting and joining in with the antics.
Thank You for Standing with Appalachia
This work wouldn’t be possible without your generosity and the partnership of Impact Fire Systems Services and Sean Zenzen, whose contributions ensured the success of this fundraiser.
We are truly grateful to each and every one of you who supported the fundraiser. Your participation means the world to the families who will receive the relief they desperately need. It’s because of you that we can offer hope and help when it matters most.
Stay Connected
As we move forward, your ongoing support will be more important than ever. With impending weather threatening the region and the holidays fast approaching, many families will need assistance in the weeks ahead.
We encourage you to stay connected with Harvest Hub and Project Short Street to learn about ways you can help. Whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness, your involvement will make a difference in the lives of those still recovering and preparing for what’s to come.
